The digitization of the collection is an ongoing project at the Louis-Marie Herbarium. To date, about 40% of the plant specimens are databased and 11% are photographed.
The database mainly shows voucher label information, making it a true snapshot of the collection at this point in time. This implies that some taxa have been listed under taxon names that may be invalid (synonyms). A taxonomic update is underway while reclassifying the collection.
Note that specimens from the province of Quebec and the rest of Canada are databased in priority for all collections.
